The Autumn Yoga and Detox Program

with Geoff Brooks int. Yoga Teacher from Bali

 

With the cooler weather upon us there is a temptation to be drawn into the rich and heavy foods, it’s always nice to have some options to give the body a rest and feel the lightness that we so enjoy over the Summer.

This 3 part workshop will give you the tools to complete your own personal Yoga and Detox Program, which can be used in 2 or 5 day blocks over or during the upcoming festive season.

It consists of sensible detox and nutrition information with demonstrations of juicing, soup and recipe suggestions, plus relatable yoga poses and sequences that you can do to compliment the process of digestion and elimination.

Both are presented by Geoff Brooks who has conducted Yoga Therapy and Detox programs for a number of years both in Bali and Byron Bay, Australia and is an internationally renown yoga teacher with over 15 years teaching experience.

The important part of the detox in what Geoff promotes relies on a sensible and measured approach to detoxification with an approach to yoga that can be done by people of all body types and age, regardless of actual yoga experience. 

This includes foods which nurture and assist in targeted nutrition, aided by Yoga sequences which promote digestion and elimination. 

The Workshop includes 3 separate sessions conducted over 2 days

Nutrition and Detox Session 

10.00 - 12.00 - includes

  • The Sensible Approach to Detoxing
  • Foods relating local sourced providers 
  • Soups and Juice recipes
  • Guidance for elimination

You can stay for lunch in our beautiful new Yoga Loft.

 

Yoga Session 

14.00 - 16.30 - includes

  • Poses and movement which aid elimination 

  • Poses and movement which aid digestion

  • Breathing exercises to support both

  • Mind focusing techniques to help keep us on track in the detox

 

 

SUNDAY - The Experience

 

10.00 - 13.00 - includes
  • Incorporate the teachings in nature (with wet weather plans if needed)
  • Hike in nearby forest
  • Experience the awarenesses in your everyday environment
  • Mediation and Pranayama techniques to maintain presence and joyfulness
